Chemical bonding starts with deepening quantum theory. Subsequently basic concepts of molecular orbital theory are discussed and applied to more complex molecules. Vibrational spectroscopy, electronic transitions, and magnetic resonance are dealt with. The electricity and magnetism part deals with Maxwell’s equations. It starts with Coulomb’s law, introduces the concepts of electric field and electrostatic potential and ends with elementary aspects of magnetism and electro-magnetic phenomena.
